Originally issued in December 2024, the recall by Riverside Natural Foods, Inc. affects over 2.4 million cases of granola bars due to the presence of metal fragments found in some bars. The company stated that products manufactured between January and November 2024 could be affected.

“There is a very small risk that some of our granola bar products may contain a piece of metal,” MadeGood said in its initial press release.

Flavors included in the recall list are chocolate chip, strawberry, mixed berry, and cookies & crème.

No injuries have been reported so far. However, MadeGood urges customers not to consume the affected granola bars and instead return them to the store for a full refund. Retailers will dispose of the recalled products accordingly.

The company confirmed that an internal investigation identified and resolved the issue at the production site.

A full list of recalled products is available on the company’s website.
